PEGASUS-I
Pegasus-I six-degree-of-freedom data-logging IMU
(Inertial Measurement Unit)
Pegasus-I is a small, light, self-contained and battery-powered IMU which logs acceleration along, and rotation about, three orthogonal axes, giving data on “six degrees of freedom”. It is completely un-tethered giving unlimited range and freedom. With a sample rate of up to 100 samples per second, the units are ideal for human and animal motion measurement but have a host of other potential applications.
Data storage is on an internal removable micro-SD memory card, and the unit is set up very quickly using a host PC, to which the data are transferred for subsequent analysis. ETB provides data analysis solutions for particular applications, or users can develop their own. The units are readily wearable and mounting accessories can be supplied for specific uses. Proven applications include accurate measurement of human leg joint angle.
Each unit comes with individual calibration data held in non-volatile memory. Multiple units can be synchronised using an accessory unit, and maintain low relative drift, if kept at a similar temperature, for good data alignment. The standard product is described. ETB has the capability to produce other versions to order – please contact us to discuss to discuss your requirements.
