ETB has initiated and subsequently project managed a vast range of R & D projects over the last 7 years. The most recent and challenging of these was the EU FP6 project ‘Healthy Aims’, funded under the Information Society technology (IST) programme. This 4 ½ year project had 25 partners from 10 EU countries, with a total budget of 23M Euro. The project vision, to develop a range of new medical implants and diagnostic equipment using a range of micro, nano, bio and wireless technologies, was developed by Diana Hodgins, MD of ETB.
ETB has project managed ‘Healthy Aims’ to a highly successful conclusion this year. Diana Hodgins, as Project Co-ordinator has, through a vast range of presentations and publications, ensured that over 1M people worldwide have read or heard about the project’s success. This has led to new commercial agreements, new research proposals building upon the success of this project and market credibility for those partners ready to exploit their products or technologies directly.
